Sweets & Meats BBQ

Description:

Meats BBQ started as a road side pit stop in the heart of Mt. Washington on 11/2/2014. Anton & Kristen had a passion for BBQ and serving others and began setting up a food stand in the parking lot at the Mt. Washington Creamy Whip, with permission from the owners, Nick & Mary Ganim. They served up traditional southern BBQ on weekends only and after several months of serving in the cold, they moved into the commercial kitchen at the Patriot Center of Cincinnati (Post 318) on Clough Pike. Still primarily a weekend operation, the couple took orders from a tent outside and filled them in their kitchen (sort of a drive thru). The family business continued to operate on weekends and expanded to offering catering in 2015, before launching a BBQ food trailer in the Spring of 2016.

 

Sweets & Meats BBQ had a food truck launch party in March 2016. The food truck opened a lot of doors for the business and as they continued serving carry out on weekends, the couple also booked festivals, food truck rallies, and other large corporate events. The food truck completed it’s second season in 2017, having participated in events like the Taste of Cincinnati, CFTA Food Fest, Kings Island Food Truck Rally, Red, White & Blue Ash, Cincy Soul, Anderson Days, Taste of Blue Ash and more! They opened a brick and mortar restaurant in Mt.Washington 8/5/17. The restaurant is open for carry out Wednesday - Saturday 11am-8pm and Sunday 11am-6pm. They also offer pick up, drop off and full service catering from the location and continue to operate the food truck April - October.
